THE eyes of the world will be on Grimsby tomorrow when the Duchess of Cambridge arrives in town.
Her visit has attracted interest from across the globe – with followers from as far afield as the USA, Canada and France sending us messages to pass onto the future Queen.
And a French production company is even featuring her trip to North East Lincolnshire – and the Telegraph's preparations for it – in a documentary it is making about her.
Meanwhile, Kate fever is taking a grip on the town and excitement is mounting at the three places she will be visiting tomorrow – the Fishing Heritage Centre, Peaks Lane Fire Station and Havelock Academy.

Grimsby born-and-bred trawlerman John Vincent, 68, has the honour of guiding the Royal visitor around the Heritage Centre. He first went out to sea with his skipper father when he was nine years old and later spent 16 years working on Grimsby trawlers.
He braved the elements between 1960 and 1976 – with a brief spell in the Merchant Navy – before he had to find employment elsewhere after the Cod Wars.
Back then, he could never have imagined that one day he might have the honour of telling the future Queen about his passion – Grimsby's rich fishing history.
Mr Vincent, of Clee Road, Grimsby, said: "I have always been a big fan of the Royal Family, I think it's the way I was brought up, and this is a real honour.
"Never in my life did I think I would get to talk to the future Queen – I wish my parents were alive to see it.
Even if you can't make it to see Kate in person, the Grimsby Telegraph will be covering everything so you don't miss out.
A breaking news edition will be produced on the big day - available from 1.30pm - and www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk will be updated as the Duchess makes her way through the town.
We will also be live streaming video online and pupils at Macaulay Academy will be uploading pictures and stories from their visit to the website after the visit.
Contact the newsdesk on 01472 372236 if you want to get involved too.
A special 16-page souvenir supplement will be free with your Grimsby Telegraph on Wednesday.
"I will be explaining the history of Grimsby to her which is something we can all be very proud of – this was once the biggest fishing port in the world.
"Almost everyone in this area can say 'my dad worked on a trawler' or 'my grandad worked on the docks' – but that won't be the case forever.
"However, as long as there are people like me and my colleagues at the Heritage Centre, that history will never be lost.
"I'm very proud of our past and that is why it will be such an honour to have an audience with a royal so I can tell her about all the things I say with such pride every week.
"I'll show her the Ross Tiger, the fishing exhibits and the Doughty Collection, and tell her about our history from the arrival of Havelok the Dane in the ninth century.
"It's not the first royal visit we have had – St John, Henry VIII and Queen Victoria all came to the port.
"I've been told to answer her questions and talk to her about the Fishing Heritage Centre and I am very respectful so that is what I will do, although I would love to have a proper conversation.
"I would ask her if she is nervous about becoming the Queen because who wouldn't be? She's only human."

"Thank you for being such an inspiration. Thank you for being so confident, classy, and poised. Society tends to put so much pressure on womens' shoulders, and suggests we should behave in certain ways; but you truly encourage us to break free and be who we are. I believe you truly are a role model for generations of women to come. Thank you for being who you are. (And congratulations, I am sure you will be a wonderful mother)".

Hello. What an honour to be able to email and have it get to the Duchess all the way from America!
Duchess Catherine is such a refreshing and enjoyable royal,. It is so nice to see a marriage that is happy, and a new family about to start. Keep being yourself, God made you and will keep you heading in the right direction to make a meaningful and powerful influence on the many people you encounter. I only wish I could be in Grimsby to catch a glimpse.
Congratulations and many blessings as you embark on this new phase of your life, as a fairly new mom, I find that being a mother is wonderful and I am sure you will too. Take lots of pictures and cuddle your little one lots, because it all goes by way too fast.

I would like to say it’s nice to have you visit Grimsby Kate. I am the cousin of the late-Olga Powel, who was nannie to Princes William and Harry for 15 years. She was my Dad’s sister’s daughter and came from Lowesoft. It sad she did not know about the baby as she passed away last year. William was at her funeral. Good luck to you both and the new baby. Mrs Pam Borman, Beacon Court, Grimsby.
I am so unhappy that we no longer have king in our country. You would have been the most beautiful Queen. I take from you every day. You are a true example for all young women in the world. Thank you for everything.
I am a huge supporter of you, I really appreciate what you do about helping ill children and people with addictions.
I think that your care and interest can make a very big difference, they can help a lot of people to get away from their problems and start "living" again and I admire you for that.
I was completely delighted when I heard the wonderful news that you and HRH Duke of Cambridge are expecting your first baby.
I would like to wish you all the joy and happiness in the world. I hope you will have the family you've always dreamt of, you both deserve it.
King regards and best wishes
It is a real honour for me to send you my best wishes for happiness. You invest with such dedication in your work that you are a real example. Like you, I'll be a mother in July and wish you much happiness in your pregnancy.
Hello. My name is Kathlyn A. Ofosuhene. I'm from America, and I just wanted to say congratulations on your pregnancy and you will be a wonderful mother. Good luck at Grimsby .
I'm a french columnist from Elle french magazine and I've dedicated a fashion blog to Her Royal Highness which is ranked first in France: http://blog.elle.fr/lejournaldemodedekatemiddleton
She still had her coach and Princess dress on after the last stroke of midnight…
We all hope that she has been leading a happy life since that day. She has had fun with her hats, has made her chiffon spin around, has never taken her LK.Bennett shoes off, has smoothed her long and shiny hair everyday, has kept fit with the help of a rowing machine and is always looking up so as to see her husband on board his helicopter.
Because it does good to hear of a real modern fairy tale when everything seems to be falling apart. The duchess is elegant, sweetness, like a breath of joy, a pinch of lightness…
Thank you very much, your Royal Highness, for making us dream and believe in fairy tales in spite of those dark times.
Lynda from Paris.
Merci pour votre sourire. Il ne doit pas être toujours facile d'être si radieuse, à l'écoute de vos sujets. j'espère que vous passerez une bonne journée à Grimsby.
To your Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge,
May I be one of the many thousands of well-wishers in congratulating you on the impending birth of your first child. I was so pleased to hear of the announcement in December and I do hope that you have reached a full recovery following your hospitalisation. I can only imagine your delight at the prospect of having a child of your own very soon, and I hope that your excitement surpasses the anxiety both you and the Duke of Cambridge must be feeling at becoming new parents. In this light, I would like to offer you both my ardent support that if either of you are any indication, your child is sure to be brought up in the most becoming of environments, where he or she can learn to be compassionate and considerate by example. Congratulations once again on the news of your pregnancy, and I do hope you bring the little one to Toronto, Canada in the near future!
Warmly, Umme Haque
