Duchess of Cambridge visit: More messages from around the world ahead of Kate's visit to Grimsby
Messages of support have been flooding in from across the globe for the Duchess of Cambridge ahead of her planned arrival in Grimsby this morning, following an appeal at www.thisisgrimsby.co.uk
As reported, today we will be passing them on to the Princess, letting her know of our readers’ love, respect and best wishes for she and her family. Here is just a selection of what you have had to say...
THE visit is great, but I’ll miss it as I’m going to be in school at Oasis Academy Wintringham.
I think you and William make a lovely couple and I can’t wait for your baby to be born. I think preserving Grimsby’s heritage is great. My brother and I visit the heritage centre often and learn something new every time we go. My mum used to fish on my granddad’s boat and tells us some stories, but you get a real visual guide of life before she was born until when it slowed/stopped. It’s good for future generations to know and feel how the fisherman lived, as for Grimsby, it was our major employer. Hope your visit goes well.

THE visit is great. You are really pretty.

THIRTY years ago, Princess Diana came to Grimsby. I took my daughter and late-mother to meet her but, she went to the other side of the road and we didn’t get to meet her. Now I am hoping my two grandsons at Havelock Academy will meet Kate. My daughter and I are also hoping to see the Duchess herself.
I REALLY hope you enjoy your day in Grimsby, and hope everything is going well with the pregnancy. I’m due in July with my fourth. You’re a inspiration to us. xx
DEAR Duchess Catherine,
You are such a beautiful person, Princess, and soon to be mum! Best of luck with the little one.
Amanda and Tristan Warwick
KATE, you are fabulous. Best wishes for an easy delivery of your child.
I WOULD like to say it’s nice to have you visit Grimsby Kate. I am the cousin of the late-Olga Powel, who was nannie to Princes William and Harry for 15 years. She was my Dad’s sister’s daughter and came from Lowesoft. It is sad she did not know about the baby as she passed away last year. William was at her funeral. Good luck to you both and the new baby.
Mrs Pam Borman, Beacon Court, Grimsby
DEAR Duchess, thank you for your involvement in children’s causes. You are blossoming the royalty.
Best wishes for you and your whole family. Xoxo.
YOUR Royal Highness, Congratulations on your growing family! I wish you and your husband nothing but the best in the days and years to come.
Carole Harper, Covina, California, USA

I FIRST heard about you when you and William announced your engagement on November 16, 2010. Since then, you have carried yourself with outstanding grace and dignity through your wedding, Royal engagements, and your pregnancy. You have become an amazing role model to me and all other young women throughout the world, and I aspire to carry myself with the grace and dignity that you do each and every day. I’m sure that Diana would be very proud of you. I pray that you and your baby both be healthy and happy. God bless you and your family!
I’ll be watching the Grimsby Telegraph closely Tuesday.

I REMEMBER as a young girl standing on the corner of Pasture Street awaiting the arrival of our Queen for her Silver Jubilee. As she drove past and gave a wave, I felt her wave was meant just for me. Such sweet memories.
What an awesome opportunity for “Great Grimsby” to have that excitement back as you get to visit and meet the wonderful people of Grimsby.
My grandad was a Skipper and I am very proud of my Grimsby upbringing and heritage.
Enjoy your day, I wish I could be part of the excitement once again :)
Best wishes to you.
Sue Clark (Osborne), Stanton, California USA

YOUR Royal Highness, thank you so much for being an excellent model of what women should aspire to be: intelligent, poised, caring, and hardworking.
Congratulations on your pregnancy! I am so very excited for you, Ma‘am, and your husband. As a July baby myself, I am rather hoping the Prince or Princess is born on my birthday – the fifteenth – so... fingers crossed!
Miss Samantha White, Virginia, United States of America
THANK you for being such an inspiration. Thank you for being so confident, classy, and poised. Society tends to put so much pressure on women’s shoulders, and suggests we should behave in certain ways; but you truly encourage us to break free and be who we are. I believe you truly are a role model for generations of women to come. Thank you for being who you are. And congratulations, I am sure you will be a wonderful mother.
Camille, France (but currently studying in Dundee, Scotland).
I AM 60 years old, and have been following your career for a long time. I want to thank you for the inspiration you have given to me! You are a kind, beautiful, caring woman, and I wish you all the very best as you enter the newest phase of your life....that of a mother. God, and Goddess bless you in the work you do. As an American woman, I say hurray for you!
Kat Davis, Boise, Idaho, Northwest, U.S.A
I WOULD like to send huge congratulations to Catherine and William on their wonderful news. I know they will be the most caring and lovable parents any child could have. If they still need a nanny, I can be on the next plane. :-).

DEAR Duchess, you are truly am inspiration to all. Thank you for being real and true to yourself. I have a five-year-old daughter and I hope one day that she will be as confident, kind, personable, and giving as you are.

HELLO. What an honour to be able to email and have it get to the Duchess all the way from America!
Duchess Catherine is such a refreshing and enjoyable Royal. It is so nice to see a marriage that is happy, and a new family about to start. Keep being yourself, God made you and will keep you heading in the right direction to make a meaningful and powerful influence on the many people you encounter. I only wish I could be in Grimsby to catch a glimpse.
Congratulations and many blessings as you embark on this new phase of your life. As a fairly new mom, I find that being a mother is wonderful and I am sure you will too. Take lots of pictures and cuddle your little one lots, because it all goes by way too fast.
Meg, Pennsylvania, United States
DEAR Duchess, I am so unhappy that we no longer have king in our country. You would have been the most beautiful Queen. I take from you every day. You are a true example for all young women in the world. Thank you for everything.
DEAR Duchess, I am a huge supporter of you. I really appreciate what you do about helping ill children and people with addictions. I think that your care and interest can make a very big difference, they can help a lot of people to get away from their problems and start “living” again and I admire you for that. I was completely delighted when I heard the wonderful news that you and HRH Duke of Cambridge are expecting your first baby.
I would like to wish you all the joy and happiness in the world. I hope you will have the family you’ve always dreamt of, you both deserve it. King regards and best wishes
DEAR Duchess, it is a real honour for me to send you my best wishes for happiness. You invest with such dedication in your work that you are a real example. Like you, I’ll be a mother in July and wish you much happiness in your pregnancy.
HELLO. I just wanted to say congratulations on your pregnancy and you will be a wonderful mother. Good luck at Grimsby.
Kathlyn A. Ofosuhene, America
TO YOUR Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge, may I be one of the many thousands of well-wishers in congratulating you on the impending birth of your first child. I was so pleased to hear of the announcement in December and I do hope that you have reached a full recovery following your hospitalisation. I can only imagine your delight at the prospect of having a child of your own very soon, and I hope that your excitement surpasses the anxiety both you and the Duke of Cambridge must be feeling at becoming new parents. In this light, I would like to offer you both my ardent support that if either of you are any indication, your child is sure to be brought up in the most becoming of environments, where he or she can learn to be compassionate and considerate by example. Congratulations once again on the news of your pregnancy, and I do hope you bring the little one to Toronto, Canada in the near future!
Warmly, Umme Haque
THANK you for what you are. You are an example of grace, naturalness and elegance for every young woman in the world. I dream that one day you can come visit us in Algeria.
YOU are an inspiration to people everywhere. You exemplify an inherent sense of compassion and selflessness and we admire you for that. In addition, we adore your ahmazing (that’s how we say it) fashion sense. You always look totally chic. We wish you the best of luck with your baby. Congratulations!
You should come back to America. All you got to see was LA and that’s not all we have to offer. You should come to Ohio it’s pretty awesome when we’re not experiencing bipolar weather.
Kaitlyn and Maria from Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

HELLO Duchess, I write you from South of France and we follow you here. In the fashion’s country, you represent the today’s modern and elegant woman. Even if I’m just 20, I inspire me of your outfits and I feel Princess a little, with your grace and your beauty.
Thank you for being you. And congratulations for the Royal Baby! Best regards.
I LIVE in Victoria, V.I. B.C. Canada. I receive on a regular basis tweets concerning what the members of the Royal Family are up to. I notice that lovely Kate is visiting Grimsby.
You lucky people! She is a wonderful addition to the Royals. It is an exciting time for the family and the followers at home and abroad as we are waiting to see if they will be blessed with a girl or a boy, to me here,I do not mind which gender it will be. I lived in Coventry for the first 18 years, then came to Canada with my parents settling in Edmonton, Alberta moving to Victoria V.I. B.C. after I was married.
While living in Coventry, I was educated at Stoke Lodge School and was a pupil in the first formed class at Pattisons College on Binley Road. At that time there was only 1 boy registered. As I look on the internet I have noticed that Pattisons College is considered as at the University Levels in education.
I have some very happy memories from the past. Thanks for your time.
Ann M Bailey, Victoria, B.C. Canada.
YOU are such a role model and inspiration. I hope to see you when I study abroad in London in June! Best of luck with your pregnancy.
Lauren, CT, USA

I pray for both you and William. May everything continue to go well with your pregnancy. God bless you.
Elaine Prinsloo, Vanderbijlpark, South Africa
