EAST YORKS: The Echoes Foundation charity is launching its annual calendar at a fundraising function being held in Hessle's Country Park Inn on Thursday, September 20.

The event, which starts at 7pm, and will include a two-course meal, entertainment from singer Sunnie Clarkson and a disco.

The Echoes Foundation is a charity that provides help and support to families with children who have special and additional needs.

It was set up in 2008 by Claire Stockton, whose son Finley has an undiagnosed brain disorder.

She wanted to bring together all the services these families would need under one roof, at Gipsyville Multi-Purpose Centre, in Hessle Road, west Hull.

Since it began, the charity has helped hundreds of families, and raised thousands of pounds to carry on its work.

It has two charity shops, in Hessle Road and Newland Avenue, and regular charity nights keep funds rolling in.
