Editor's Opinion: Let’s show off our talents!
WE need more success stories in North East Lincolnshire.
We have them, it is just that we tend not to shout about them!
Ella Henderson is a classic example – whether she becomes famous or not, the fact is she has a stunning voice ... but how many of us local people had heard it before?
Yes, she was away at school ... but this highlights the point.

There are so very, many talented individuals and groups out there who just go about their business, without allowing the wider community to know just how good they are.
Maybe we should have a North East Lincolnshire’s Got Talent, or some way of showcasing the best of what we have to offer.
The feel-good factor is all about celebrating the good in our communities – showing each other that we have talent and are proud of where we live and where we come from.
Do you know a talented person – just start by letting the Grimsby Telegraph know, or posting details on this comment – we will do a feature on you or the person/group you know – proving we do have talent!

“I have a very talented son called Dean Garrod who loves to sing. He will be sixteen tomorrow and when he performs people always comment on how good he is. In this paper on page 15 Trevor Caress has said how outstanding he was singing Space Oddity the other night at Oasis Academy Wintringham. I would love to see him go further as singing is what he loves to do and I'm sure he wouldn't mind a feature being done on him. Thankyou”
