Editor's Opinion: Morrisons' new Grimsby factory can have great impact on area
WHAT great news that we now have the first of the Morrisons products coming off the lines at the supermarket giant's new Grimsby factory.
And, just days after production started, we can see just what an impact such a new business can have on the rest of the area and the associated industries, which employ local people.
For we see how Quayside Distribution is taking on more people, as this company has won the contract for third-party logistics.
What great news that this contract has been awarded to a local firm.

And back to the new factory itself – we read today how Paul Edwards, a former bar manager, is enjoying his work and new training at the Morrisons Manufacturing Plant – again showing what a good opportunity this new businesses is offering to our local people.
The success of firms in ensuring their work was completed on time, enabling the plant to be up and running as scheduled, is also a massive good news story for this area – proving the ability of Northern Lincolnshire companies to deliver, as requested and as promised.
Let us hope that other major firms just see the potential here and are attracted to what we have to offer – a good workforce, great companies and available space.
