Elderly man hit by a car

AN elderly man has been taken to hospital with potentially serious injuries after being hit by a car near Market Rasen.

The Lincoln Road in the centre of Faldingworth – where the man was hit – on the A46 is now closed until further notice.

Lincolnshire Police and East Midlands Ambulance were called at 12.24pm today after the 73-year-old man was hit.

He was taken to Lincoln County Hospital as his injuries were though to be serious although police could not confirm his condition as they are waiting for the results of a scan.
