THIS Wolds headteacher has ended the year – and her teaching career – on a high note.

Lynette Edwards, who has been at the helm of All Saints Primary School in Grasby, since October 2005, is taking early retirement.

But she stepped down in style, receiving praise from both Ofsted inspector Christine Gilbert, and the Bishop of Grimsby Rev David Rossdale.

Joining Mrs Edwards in taking early retirement is her colleague Maggie Brown.
