Experience vintage 1950s train carriages on trip from Cleethorpes
A special steam hauled train will leave Cleethorpes Station on Saturday, May 18 at 6.30am for a trip to Chester.
The 'Oliver Cromwell' will pick up passengers at Grimsby Town, Barnetby, Scunthorpe, and Crowle. It's then on to Doncaster and Sheffield, then through the Dore and Totley Tunnel into the scenic Hope Valley, with mountains to the north and hills to the south.

Skirting round Manchester by way of Guide Bridge to Stockport and Altrincham. We then take the former Cheshire Lines Committee route to Chester.
With four hours to explore in Chester the train will arrive back in Cleethorpes at approx 9.40pm.

“I went a couple of years ago...
Money well spent, we were well looked after the food - kept coming and was excellent
A different day out especially for me as I have mobility issues
But I am a steam buff and this locomotive is a CRACKER
Chester is a lovely city too, well worth a day out :-)”
