Explore the night sky with the Cleethorpes and District Astronomical Society
FOLLOWING on from the BBC's Stargazing Live series this week, the Cleethorpes and District Astronomical Society are holding open evenings at the Beacon Hill Observatory on Friday and Saturday.
Visitors will have the chance to view the stars and planets through a variety of telescopes as well as learn more about astronomy from experienced members of the society.
Should the weather be cloudy, short talks will be held on observing the night sky and celestial objects using planetarium software and on setting up and using telescopes and binoculars.
The open evenings will take place from 6pm onwards.
Additionally, the society is holding an introductory talk on amateur astronomy at Waltham Library on Tuesday, January 29.
