“Yes Walter Mitty that excuse for a sorry performance has been bandied around Blundell Park since the last war Even last seasons loss to York was supposed to be the precursor for promotion [it was for York ] In all my years of following the team I cannot recall any occasion where losing a cup match or indeed any game was a good thing We are a long way from being stonewall certs for promotion .”

“Our FA cup record since 1998 when we lost in the 4th round to dirty leeds is abysmal. I would imagine no club has a worse record.
The FA cup used to be a money spinner if yo made the 3rd round but we are nowhere near that standard, so we are better ot of it.
The FA trophy is a more viable opportunity to get on a run and generate revenue. We will be among the favourites for that and another trip to wembley”

“3-0 down after 16 minutes says it all.
We do seem to start slowly sometimes and this time paid for it with some sloppy goals.
On reflection, S&H might feel 'resting' Disley was one change too many; the back four was a big change around from recent games so why add another in midfield?
We won the last 80 minutes 2-1 (clutching at straws, I know) but it was just one of those days which serve as a reminder that discipline is everything.
Any team which loses 4 of its best players as we did today will suffer - Hatton, Thanoj, Southwell, Artus are not 'top notch' BSP players in comparison to Thomas, Pearson, Disley and Hannah.
Bad result, decent performance...let's move on”

“I guarantee you that G.T.F.C. management will say :
' the cup defeat may prove to be a blessing in disguise as we can now concentrate on the league'
This is because they are devoid of original thought.”

“It could be a blessing for both clubs. Town can concentrate on the league although a cup run is nice, I'd much prefer promotion. Kidderminster need the cash more than we do. They nearly folded last week.”

“3-0 down after 16 minutes is not good enough. All the fans though we were dead and buried. But fair play to the managers in changing the formation of the team. Well done to the players for getting the team back in with a fighting chance of winning the game. Unfortunately the risk we took in the last minute didnt pay off, but it so nearly did.
I thought Neilson was excellent and if we want to show true ambition to get out this league then SIGN HIM UP. He looks a different class. Elding did a solid job as I think he always has done. Not too sure about Hatton, he seemed a little lost and could not pass to our players. The jury is still out on Colbeck (in my opinion).
Lets move on from this defeat, in a cup that we dont stand a chance of winning. Yes i know its extra revenue, but being in league 2 means much more to the clubs existance.
With a fit team of first choice players we could have won the match, but we didnt. Next week gives us a chance to start in the first minute, not after 20 mins and show the fans what we all know they can do.
Lets get the league form right and win this division. I believe we have the squad to do it if we can keep hold of the loan players.

“Complacency again...... Unless we stamp this lethargic attitude out then a good start to the season will turn sour....... This could be a costly loss, revenue is everything when your in this league...let's hope it refocusses the mind and our determination .... Our home form needs to improve and quickly.... However, today aside it's been a promising start and let's push on..... Shake them up S&H.......”

“Back from the match...... 3 goals in 17mins tells you how the game started really,Town never really got stuck into Kidderminster to prevent this sloppy play.Fans reacted to this poor performance and woke the players up resulting in 2 goals befor half -time.Second half performance was better for a while ...... end result 4-2.This was a game that we could have won but never,Aswad Pearson Hannah Disley definitely missed today, sums up our best players to me.Without these players we will be in this league for seasons.Hope are all fit for Macclesfield game next Saturday.utm.”
