Factory will be constructing turbines
HUMBER Gateway forms part of the Government's round two phases of wind farms around the UK coastline.
The proposed wind turbine factory at Green Port Hull, given planning approval yesterday, will be constructing turbines for the round three wind farms.
The Humber Gateway project will involve the construction of wind turbines, foundation works, building onshore and offshore substations, installing undersea power cables and the 30km onshore cable.
The Siemens and ABP project aims to create up to 1,000 jobs during construction.
