“....and you seem to be another driver who thinks they are the best driver in the world.
I have not said that I rely on technology, you have no idea about my driving skills, I am an IAMS advance driver and my main hobby is a motorsport.
Lets just agree that your ace and I'm rubbish and hopefull I'll see you on your mobile phone stood next to your car in a ditch.”

here lies the problem that you seem to be another driver who is relying on technology to tell you what the limits of your car are when driving in the snow as appose to using your noggin and driving to the conditions of the road, if your wheels lock and its not because you are trying to avoid the idiot in front that braked then you are doing it wrong ABS or not ABS the driver is where the skill should be not the computer telling the driver he is going too fast.”

“Wrangler - the idea is to keep the wheel rolling and therefore prevent skidding. My car is rwd too and I learnt to drive when rwd was the norm. The art is in limiting the amount of power getting to the drive wheels by use of the clutch and gears. The only time you would get snaking on the back end is if you change down and let the clutch out too fast. I agree that abs is good and there are times when braking is the only option but to be honest I've had far more bother with fwd understeer in the snow than I ever had with rwd oversteer or skidding.”

“Besides YAWN, if you read my comment again, I never said ABS helps you stop better - I said the 'ting' lets you know that your driving too fast.”
