PAUL Hurst and Rob Scott's injury concerns have worsened following Tuesday night's Reserve team defeat at Gateshead.

But the joint managers will have been concerned to see two of the senior professionals involved – Simon Ford and Andi Thanoj – leave the field with first-half injuries.
Ford, pictured, required stitches after a clash of heads with young Jack Griffin, while Thanoj received a knock on his ankle.

Liam Hearn is already a long-term absentee following his Achilles injury, while fellow striker Greg Pearson has missed the last two first-team matches with a groin strain.
Another forward, Andy Cook, lasted just 19 minutes against Forest Green on Saturday before a kick to the ankle forced him off. And right-back Bradley Wood followed him into the treatment room before the break.
With Saturday's clash at Blue Square Bet Premier bottom-side Kidderminster Harriers looming, the Mariners bosses will be hoping that some of those five short-term injury victims can recover in time for the weekend.
