Frankie Boyle's jokes about the Queen and Duchess of Cambridge are booed at Comic Relief event
Grimsby people whose hearts were won by Kate will be furious at the latest outrage from controversial comic Frankie Boyle.
Kate was greeted by thousands of well wishers when she visited our town just two days ago - winning the hearts of all who met her.

The Duchess of Cambridge during her visit to Grimsby on Tuesday.
They will be shocked today to read how the Scottish 'funnyman' joked he wished the Queen had died, and made an unprintable gag about how Kate fell pregnant.
Kate's pregnancy has caused worldwide interest with Grimsby at the heart of that this week as rumours emerged that she may well be having a girl!

In a revolting 10-minute routine on Russell Brand's Give It Up For Comic Relief event at London's Wembley Arena, Boyle also drew gasps from the 12,500-strong audience with a particularly crude jibe at Oscar Pistorious.
Boyle's routine was deemed in such bad taste that it was axed from the 'almost-live' broadcast of the show on BBC Three.
Referring to the monarch's recent hospital stay for gastroenteritis, Boyle then said: 'I wish the Queen had died the night before the Royal Jubilee - I wish she'd just f***ing died.
'But they wouldn't have been able to tell us that she'd died. They would have had to hollow out her body and get that guy who plays Gollum to wear it.'
But Boyle's quips about the country's beloved monarch did not go down will with the star-studded crowd, who were quick to boo the comedian as his jokes went too far.
Boyle's next subject was the Duchess of Cambridge, with the comedian making a crude joke about the royal's figure, before adding: 'I can't believe she is pregnant to be honest because she told me she was on the pill.'

“Yes NaFili, I think it say he and they have a sense of humour - relax dear, its just jokes!
"It's now very common to hear people say, "I'm rather offended by that", as if that gives them certain rights. It's no more than a whine. It has no meaning, it has no purpose, it has no reason to be respected as a phrase. "I'm offended by that." Well, so f@#king what?" —Stephen Fry"”

“It seems to me that Boyle's humour says more about him and those who support him than ever it does about his targets. I wonder if he is happy?”

“So all of a sudden, Kate Middleton is all the rage in Grimsby, lets be realistic, she'd probably never even heard of the place until someone told her she was coming here! I personally don't find Frankie Boyle funny anyway, however who he chooses to make jokes about is exactly his choice and if people get offended by it they really need to get out more, as was mentioned in another post, you hear a lot worse in "average joe" conversation!”

“His humour would have endeared him to anyone that worked down dock years ago. His jokes get repeated between pals all the time, he is not offensive, he is only daring repeat what is heard in bars and workplaces up and down the country. THeres far more offensive things to worry about than Frankies humour.”

“Im more offended by whoever believes they have the right to censor the TV show so I cannot watch. I might choose to watch it or I may not but thats my decision not some dim wit at the BBC.”

“If the purpose of a comedian is to make people laugh Emjay24...then he is demonstrably a 'Good' comedian'!
Just because you don't find him funny, does not mean he is not.
I don't think a poo on a stool is art, so does mean its "Sad that her career seems to blossom, more because of her ability to attract/grab headlines than because of her ability as a 'good' artist"?”
