Free vote on Hunting Act repeal
RECENT reports that the Hunting Act is nothing more than a temporary ban on hunting are not true.
The Hunting Act is an important piece of animal welfare legislation which protects wild animals from needless suffering and to repeal it would, in my opinion, be a step backwards.
I'm sure many readers, like the League Against Cruel Sports, abhor fox hunting, but it also worth reminding them that the Conservatives have promised a free vote on repeal if they are elected in the next General Election.
In doing so the party would be going against the will of 59 per cent of its own voters and 75 per cent of the public who think hunting should remain illegal.

“JO,
You say, "with the greatest respect---why can't you just leave people alone?" 11-40, 15 Apr.
JO,why can't you just show people the greatest respect and leave US alone? (with regards to the EU in particular.)
We DON'T want to hear your repetitive chanting over and over again.
I think if you read Pensioner's post, 16-07, 14 Apr, you will see he is against foxhunting.
With regards to his thoughts on smoking, I would agree with you. (Yes, I am feeling a bit dizzy. lol) But that thread has expired.”

“Evangelical.......wow!
As I wend my cheerful way through life, I hope I can enter the various debates on life issues constructively.
I wish I could convince just one person to avoid my friends horrible death due to throat cancer............
I choose Cirque Du soleil over animals.
Foxes have a right to live in their own country free of blood "sports."
