Friendship at Home Tuesday Group Celebrate 2nd Birthday
Friendship at Home a local based charity working with older people has reached another milestone. The Tuesday social group which meets at The Scouts Hut on Carr Lane Grimsby celebrated its second birthday on Tuesday 12th February. Around 30 older people attend the club which is run by Assistant Manager Lyse Stephenson and a team of dedicated volunteers.
Members were treated to an afternoon of singing and dancing by local artist Honey Jackson followed by a buffett.
Lyse said :"our members have really enjoyed the afternoon" "If anyone is thinking about joining us please come along and give us a try" The members get the opportunity to go on day trips. monthly lunch club and a variety of speakers give talks to the club.
