Fundraising drive for sun-sensitive toddler Emily Rendall
DEDICATED fundraisers at a Humberston care home have collected more than £300 to help a Grimsby tot have her day in the sun.
As reported, Emily Rendall, 2, suffers from epilepsy and debilitating fits – brought on by exposure to the sun – sparking her family to launch an appeal to raise £5,000 to install a padded surface and sunshade in their back garden, to enable her to play out.

As pictured in yesterday's Grimsby Telegraph, staff and residents at Ashgrove Care Home – led by Emily's proud nanna Toni Watson, a senior carer – have launched a fundraising drive to help them on their way.
Already Toni and care home manager Jayne Hatfield have collected £250 in sponsorship after pledging to walk the Humber Bridge in fancy dress on October 2.
And the first of what will become monthly coffee mornings at the home boosted the appeal by a further £90.
