FROM Aston Martins to rock and roll art – this Grimsby upholsterer is hoping to sew up the market when it comes to funky furnishings.

Matthew Rowlands of Wish Interiors – part of the longstanding Rowland's Upholstery in King Edward Street – has teamed up with famous artist Paul Karslake, the brother of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood's estranged wife, Jo.

Together they are literally transforming furniture into works of arts, using Matthew's unique method of fusing graphics – and Karsalke's one-off paintings – into leather.

For more information see today's Grimsby Telegraph.

“I agree, seems like the Ronnie Wood's name is being used here to sell this furniture. Who is using who here, his ex wife...... again and again, seems like you would not get much publicity without the Wood name.

“I think people are free to view their own opinion, if its not your taste, that is fine, don't take it too personal. Everyone has a right to free speech. I do not like this furniture either.

“Talk about a tenuous link to the Rolling Stones - someone in Grimsby is working with someone who is the brother of someone who used to be married to someone in the band.My 'eads spinning!!”

    “This is really nice stuff.

It's a great way of freshening up an old comfy chair and making it sort of funky at the same time. And much much cheaper than buying a new one.

I'll definitely be paying them a visit.
    Good luck!”

“A further example of the great talent this town has produced, great furniture I'll never afford it though (I Imagine). This town is just full of knockers and most of them should just be ignored.”

“looks like Jo is standing next to a self portrait of herself on that chair, they both look awful, I would not have either in my home. Bad taste.”
