Game over for out-of-town poaching gang
THREE men, who came to Lincolnshire from the Middlesborough area to take part in daytime poaching, have been fined by magistrates.
Thomas Edward Jaffray, 29, of Thorntree, John Alan Langan, 36 and Gary Smith, 32, both of Stokesley, admitted trespassing on land in pursuit of game on November 5 last year.
Paul Wood, prosecuting, said the three men were photographed by the farmer on land at Blankney Dales, New Road, Woodhall Spa.
The three men, who were not represented, said they had come to Lincolnshire to sell their dogs and had not taken part in hare coursing.
