Glenn Kirkham waits on Olympic Games spot
GRIMSBY-born hockey star Glenn Kirkham will find out tomorrow if he will be competing at the London Olympic Games.
The British Olympic Association will announce the men's hockey team who will be going for gold and Kirkham, who grew up in Alford, is hotly tipped to be on the team.
He has previous Olympic experience, having been part of the team that competed at the 2008 Games in Beijing.
The 30-year-old is one of the most experienced members of the team and has played a key roles in several major international tournaments over recent years.

He helped Great Britain to the semi-finals of the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, India, in 2010.
If successful, Kirkham will join Grimsby-born former Louth Dolphins member Kate Haywood on Team GB. Haywood booked her place in the swimming team earlier this year. Former Holton-le Clay javelin thrower Hollie Arnold is awaiting a selection decision for the Paralympics.
