Good golly, were we jolly to meet Olly! ... New Waltham family pose with pop star Murs
RIHANNA, Amy Winehouse, Eva Mendes, Paul Weller and Olly Murs – this New Waltham family is seeing stars.
The Button family go on holiday every Christmas and it seems like whenever they do, they come across some of the world's biggest celebrities.
-

THIS ONE'S FOR THE GIRLS: Maddison Button, left, 10, and sister India, 12, with Olly Murs who they met on holiday in Barbados.
-

BACK IN TIME: Amy Winehouse with Cody Button, India and Maddison, of Grimsby, who they met on a previous flight to Barbados.
-

HAPPY TO POSE: Cody Button, 14, and brother Kooper, 5, with Olly.
Flying to Barbados they have come across singers Rihanna and the late Amy Winehouse, actor Eva Mendes and, flying to LA, rock God Paul Weller.
However, this year, they actually managed to spot heart-throb Olly Murs outside. The X Factor star was in the Oceans 2 hotel in famous tourist trap The Gap, Barbados.

Parents Ian and Julie took kids Cody, India, Maddison and Kooper to Barbados over Christmas and spotted friends who said the Troublemaker singer was staying at their hotel.
So, the family headed over there to try to catch a glimpse of the famous quiff that drives girls wild – including India, 12, and Maddison, 10, who went to Hull to see him live in concert when he supported JLS.
Julie, 40, wasn't sure if it was him at first.
However, the brave mum chanced it and accosted the heart-throb, and the star happily obliged with photos..
Julie said: "He was looking tired and a bit pasty because he had only been there a few hours but he was really nice and happy to be in a photo.
"My daughters love him but they came across all shy, so I had to do all the talking.
"Obviously my sons were playing it cool a few metres away with my husband but I convinced them to get in a photo too."
The family appeared in the Grimsby Telegraph in 2010 when they were photographed with Amy Winehouse on another flight to Barbados.
They saw Rihanna on the same flight but the good girl went bad and refused a photo with the fans.
Julie added: "Amy was lovely – really bubbly and happy to get in the photo.
"I didn't even recognise Rihanna at first – she looked so different.
"She walked in front of me in the queue for food and I thought 'who does this madam think she is?'.
"Someone told me it was that woman who sings Umbrella but it didn't look anything like her.
But despite all the gorgeous female superstars the family have seen on their travels, only Paul Weller has managed to impress husband Ian.
Julie added: "Ian has been a fan since he was ten years old and he was sitting behind us on the plane with his family.
"It was Cody's birthday and Paul Weller sung Happy Birthday to our son. Ian couldn't believe it – it was a dream come true for him."
But, not much that happens aboard an aircraft can shock Ian – as Julie proposed to him just before jumping out of a plane to raise money for charity nearly 16 years ago.

“I once saw Shane Richie aka Archie Moon from Eastenders in a lift in Manchester. He's much smaller in real life”

“You work hard all year to take your family on a fantastic holiday, keep up the hard work Ian.
Keep showing them the love and affection that you do all year round and I am sure your children will turn out as lovely as you and your wife.
By the way, what fantastic names you have given your beautiful children by "Angelina Partridge”

“memphiskid, flattered you think i have that many friends, but unfortunately working 14hour days trying to earn a living doesnt give me that much time for a social life. Does everyone really only want to read about the sad things that happen every day? please dont get too upset about how many red/green arrows you're getting because how ever you look at it that truly is SAD, now go and watch the paint dry until the grass starts growing "looney bin"”

“Ian , it must be pretty sad to get all your friends to give everyone who was giving a view a "worst rated" click on the red arrow. I put a comment about it wasn't fair seeing something like that when people was struggling in life. Yesterday it had fourteen "best rated" and today it had a minus seven, Funny all the others with a good rated score had been knocked right down. Something funny going on here don`t you think”

“oh dear, thanks for any positive comments and i really feel sorry for anybody who has a problem with my children being in the paper. They are all extremely happy with the names we gave them and after reading some of the things written here slightly amused that people are that sad they feel the need to voice an opinion. damn right Barbados isnt anything special but at xmas (my only time off during the year) its guaranteed sun. It really isnt my fault if some people are finding times hard maybe a letter to David C. might be a better course of action you self pittying sado.I will put my name to this unlike certain people on here who hide behind what are probably twitter names so they can abuse others sitting at a keyboard in their Mummys spare room. Thanks again and have a very happy LIFE (although i doubt that) IAN BUTTON”

“People need to think very carefully about the type of world we live in before they splash their childrens' names and pictures all over the internet and newspapers.
Bragging about meeting celebrities abroad is name dropping of the saddest kind, and the so called celebs won't even remember them.
Stop showing off and stick to boring your friends and family with your snaps!”

“EWWO1,No I am not joking, we call him Olly after the singer and sometimes we call him Murs, he answers to both. Why am I cruel? I don't get it. It was the closest I was going to get to kissing the real Olly Murs and my dog ( a beagle) is beautiful just like his name sake. Yes I am sad or mad but heyho!”

“Tina170564.
I'm sure that no one including myself means any malice towards the Buttons,it's just the thought of the parents feeling the need to inform the media over somthing which is personal to them and of no real interest to anyone else.
Surely you are not serious when you say you have named your dog OLLY MURS or are you!if so how cruel.”
