Grimsby Blockbuster store not among branches set for closure
GRIMSBY’S Blockbuster store is not one of the 160 branches to close in the initial phases of administration.
As reported last week, the DVD and video game hire giant has called on business insolvency experts, following the collapse.

Grimsby's Blockbuster store is not among the 160 branches set to close.
Partners at Deloitte were appointed joint administrators last Wednesday, and have confirmed plans to close 129 stores over the coming weeks. That is in addition to 31 already notified. Grimsby’s outlet, on Maritime Court, Lower Spring Street, was not on the initial list.
However, in a statement, the joint administrators said they continue to review the profitability of the 528-store portfolio, and announcements of further closures may be made in coming weeks, as they restructure in a bid to find a buyer.
