Later this month, Grimsby Town's team of professional coaches will hold a week of open trials at Oasis Academy Wintringham to give more young players a chance to earn their place in teams at the club's School Of Excellence.
As reported, in yesterday's Telegraph, Buckley is to join the coaching staff of the club's youth set-up to develop the next generation of young Mariners.

And, after being in attendance at the first set of open trials held at Oasis Academy Wintringham in April, Buckley says he was impressed with what he saw.
"The first thing that struck me was how well organised the event was and just how many kids were there," he said.
"To see the youngsters and parents enjoying their day with some of the first team was brilliant."
"It was a fantastic opportunity for local footballers to show the people at Grimsby Town what they can do – for both the club and the kids, it was fantastic.
"This area is a hotbed of young footballing talent and I think it is great that the club are working hard to tap into that."
