Grimsby Town: Artus on a high ahead of Bath clash
GRIMSBY Town midfielder Frankie Artus heads to his native south west tomorrow riding high on confidence after netting his first goal for the club.
Artus scored a fine goal to seal a league victory over AFC Telford United a week ago and is now gunning for success in the rearranged FA Trophy tie at Bath City.

And with his dad set to be in the crowd watching on, the Bristolian is hoping his recent good form can continue at Twerton Park to help Town into the quarter-finals.
Artus said: "It's always nice to head back down there, back home.
"All the games down south were before Christmas so I didn't think I'd get back in January.
"It's nice to have a draw down there so I can go home and see some of my family after the game.
"My dad will come to the game because it's not too far from Bristol, so it's good for him as well.
"Hopefully, I can get on the score-sheet again for him.
"My first goal was a long time coming and I was overdue one because I'd had some chances.
"It's always nice to get off the mark and it gives me confidence to push on and hopefully score some more now.
"Playing in the position of the left attacking, you do get in the positions to get goals.
"It's been a case of adapting a bit to that for me but it's coming now."
Artus moved north to Cleethorpes in the summer from Cheltenham but has had to be patient for a regular place in the side.
He has made 25 appearances, but admits it's been a more enjoyable spell in the starting line-up.
And while the Mariners signed wide man Louie Soares on deadline day to compete for Artus' position, he believes it's an addition that can only make the squad even stronger.
He added: "Of course, it is frustrating when you are not in the team.
"I think I went something between ten to 15 games when I was on the bench and that's the bad side of being a footballer.
"When you do come in, you have to take your chance and I feel I have done that.
"I'm getting fitter and more confident every game and I'm enjoying it at the minute.
"Any successful team has plenty of competition throughout the squad so Louie's arrival is good.
"It's not a bad thing; it makes you realise you have to push hard each week to keep the shirt."
