Grimsby Town: Bosses backing Louie Soares to be a success
PAUL Hurst is tipping Louie Soares to fly next season in his first full campaign with Grimsby Town.
The 27-year-old has admitted that he endured a difficult start to his career at Blundell Park since his move from Hayes & Yeading in January.
The Barbados international made just eight starts and didn't score a goal in his 11 outings last season, with his latest appearance coming in the final day defeat to Southport.
But joint manager Hurst believes that Soares' record at Hayes & Yeading, coupled with the performances that he and Rob Scott regularly see from him on the training field, is a clear indication of the wide man's quality.

And Hurst is predicting big things from the Reading-born player in his first full season in Cleethorpes.
Speaking to the Telegraph, he said: "Louie will be the first to say that was a bit frustrated with how his season went last year.
"When he first joined us from Hayes & Yeading, he was a playing really well and scoring goals in a team that was struggling for most of the season so his ability is clear for everyone to see.
"You don't score the goals and do the things that Louie does without have fantastic ability.
"When he first joined, the things that we saw from him day in and day out at training was fantastic – we said to ourselves 'we've got a great player on our hands here' and we have."
"This season is a fresh start for Louie.
"He will have a full pre-season behind him and have his family up here with him which is important.
"He does it in training every day; now it is just a case of him transferring that to a game on a Saturday. We've got no doubts that he will do that this season – he is going to be an important player for us."
