Grimsby Town: Fitness bonus for Disley out of Trophy clash postponement
GRIMSBY Town skipper Craig Disley believes the postponement of today's FA Trophy tie at Bath City could be a blessing in disguise on a personal level.
A pitch inspection at Twerton Park took place at 1pm yesterday ahead of the Town team's departure from Grimsby, and a local referee deemed the frozen pitch unplayable and unlikely to thaw before this afternoon.

It means the FA Trophy third round clash will now take place on Tuesday, kick-off 7.45pm, in place of the league trip to Tamworth, which will need rearranging again.
For Disley, however, the extra three days rest could prove beneficial after feeling soreness in his troublesome ankle injury again ahead of the weekend.
Disley said: "Of course, it's disappointing for everyone because we prepared all week in training for today.
"But for me personally it could work out to be a bonus.
"I have had a little problem again with my ankle this week and not trained as much as I'd have liked.
"Now it gives me a few extra days and it should be a lot better now for Tuesday."
Disley, pictured, missed the second round victory against AFC Hornchurch with the ongoing problem but has been back in league action since.
But with the Town players handed a rare weekend off, he hopes to be fully ready to play in Tuesday's rearranged trip.
He is relishing a weekend with the family but admits he doesn't want it to happen too often, leaving Town with a congested fixture list.
The 30-year-old went on: "Fortunately we found out yesterday before we set off for Bath but it does mean we will now probably travel on the day and not have the stop-over.
"But we've done that before this season and got good results.
"We will have a weekend off which I'm sure the family will be happy about, but then it will be hard work on Monday getting ready for the game.
"We now have to rearrange Tamworth and that's an extra midweek match, but then that comes with being in the hunt for success on two fronts.
"If you ask any player they prefer to play games than train anyway."
Disley feels the early postponement was the right decision, not only for the team but also the Town fans before they set off on the long trip to the south west.
He added: "Fair play to Bath for making an early call.
"It saved us travelling and also the fans.
"They can make arrangements for Tuesday without having made the journey in the icy conditions only to find the game off, like has happened in some cases this year when games have been called off late.
"It may affect how many go but we usually get good numbers behind us at away games and I'm sure as many as possible will try to be there on Tuesday."

“if Disley isn't 100% on Tuesday night, he should be rested. We need him fit for the York game.”
