JOINT manager Paul Hurst thinks opponents Bath City will believe they have benefited more than Grimsby Town after Saturday's FA Trophy tie was postponed.

The third-round clash was frozen off as the big freeze decimated the weekend football programme.

And with the game now set to take place at Twerton Park tomorrow night, Hurst believes the Romans may look to take advantage of Town's long journey to the south west on the day of the game.

Hurst said: "It was the right decision to call the game off early on Friday before we set off and to let the fans know in good time.

"But we were set to stay overnight and now we will be travelling on the day tomorrow.

"I think Bath will look at that and may try to take advantage believing we won't be as fresh as we may have been on Saturday.

"It's a long trip for us but the lads were given the weekend to rest up and recharge the batteries a little so hopefully we won't be affected as much as they may hope.

"It's difficult travelling so far on the same day and getting back in the early hours, but we'll be ready."

Hurst believes the delay may well aid their cause with regards the fitness of midfielder Craig Disley and defender Bradley Wood.

The pair had ankle problems last week in the run-up to the weekend.

He added: "Dis would probably have been okay but that extra rest will certainly help him.

"Before Saturday, Bradley may have struggled to be involved but he may be closer now as well so it's not all bad that the game was called off.

"We started to get a feel on Thursday it may happen and, having been there myself as a player in that situation, I think you sometimes prepare for it being off.

"They have trained well since and as we have said many times, we want to go as far as possible in the competition."

Tomorrow's rearrangement also means the rescheduled away league trip to Tamworth will need a date change for a third time.

No new date has been confirmed yet but Hurst acknowledges the games are set to come thick and fast in the final three months of the season.

He added: "We have to try and fit the Tamworth game in and that's without any more changes if we get through tomorrow.

"It was originally going to be on February 28 but the England C match meant it moved again.

"I'm not sure why we can't play that week.

"Both sides have one player in the England squad – we have Michael Coulson – but I think it would make sense to get the game played that week.

"I'm not sure if the Conference allow it, though."
