Grimsby Town: Mariners agree Andy Cook compensation deal with AFC Barrow
GRIMSBY Town have announced they have agreed a compensation deal with AFC Barrow for new signing Andy Cook.
As reported, the 21-year-old forward signed a two-year deal at Blundell Park last week after rejecting the Cumbrian outfit's offer of a new contract.

Grimsby Town have agreed a compensation deal with AFC Barrow for Andy Cook.
Because of the age of the player, Barrow were entitled to compensation and both clubs had been locked in negotiations over a fee.
Relations appeared to sour last week when Bluebirds manager Dave Bayliss accused the Mariners of making what he called "derisory" offers for the former Carlisle scholar.

However, speaking to the Telegraph yesterday, GTFC director John Fenty said that the two clubs have now finally reached an agreement.
"I am pleased to say that over the last couple of days we have agreed a compensation fee with Barrow for Andy," he said.
"We are delighted to say that we have been able to avert a tribunal as they are unhelpful for both clubs and do not go away quickly."
"It is a fee that will remain undisclosed but it is one that is within amounts set at previous tribunals.
"The issue with Boston United last year dragged on and on and was very unhelpful, so we are delighted that we have seen eye to eye with Barrow on Andy."
