Grimsby Town at Wembley: Club confident of 20,000 following for FA Trophy final
GRIMSBY Town are aiming to win the first battle of the FA Trophy final – by taking more fans to Wembley than Wrexham.
After selected tickets for the showpiece final went on sale through the FA yesterday afternoon, accounts manager Steve Wraith has called on fans to get behind the Mariners.

Town have been allocated the east end of the stadium, and those fans who want to sit behind that goal have already begun snapping up their tickets.
Seats along the side of the pitch will go on sale from the club – initially to season ticket holders – from Wednesday, March 6.

And speaking to the Telegraph, Wraith said he is ‘confident’ of 20,000 Town fans packing into the home of English football – adding that he hopes the Black and White army will outnumber Wrexham’s supporters.
He said: “It’s a massive boost for the club. We’re delighted to have made it.
“Fans are speculating how many we’ll take to Wembley and some are saying as low as 9,000, which I don’t think is anywhere near the amount we’ll be taking.
“I honestly think that we’ll easily take 20,000 – it’s a fantastic occasion and no-one will want to miss out on that.
“We don’t want Wrexham to take an enormous following and us take less than them.
“It would be nice to have more in Wembley than them and I’m expecting our fans to come together and help us to do that.
“It’s the two best teams in the division going head to head for a bit of silverware and it’s fantastic.”
