Grimsby Town boss admits defeat in chase for defender Nathan Pond
GRIMSBY Town joint boss Paul Hurst says the club have "drawn a line" under their attempts to get Nathan Pond back at Blundell Park.
The Fleetwood centre-half was a revelation during the first half of the season, but returned to the Cod Army earlier this month when his loan spell ended.
Hurst and co-manager Rob Scott were hoping the defender would be back to boost their title push, but this morning they ruled out a return for Pond.

“According to this morning's papers Newport are after defensive player so might be the likely destination - providing he leaving Fleetwood of course. Either way looks like this one is a non starter.”
