GRIMSBY Town chiefs are confident that the Blue Square Bet Premier League fixture against Hyde will go ahead as planned tomorrow night.

The Blundell Park pitch was an inch-deep in snow yesterday – but the ground remained soft underneath.

With sub-zero temperatures and possibly more snow on the way, the plan is to leave the snow on the pitch until tomorrow as a layer of insulation.

The snow will then be cleared tomorrow daytime ahead of the match.
