Former Grimsby Town hero Wayne Burnett takes over at Dagenham after John Still joins Luton Town
FORMER Grimsby Town midfielder Wayne Burnett has been appointed as interim manager at Dagenham and Redbridge after former boss John Still left to join the Mariners' Blue Square Bet Premier rivals Luton Town.
Burnett, who famously scored Town's golden goal winner in the Auto Windscreens Shield final at Wembley in 1998, has taken charge of the Daggers until the end of the season.
Still, 62, has taken over at Kenilworth Road following the departure of former Hatters boss Paul Buckle, who left for unspecified personal reasons last week.
He is eighth-placed Luton's fifth manager in the past four seasons.
