Grimsby Town joint bosses deny any truth in Doncaster Rovers link
PAUL Hurst has distanced himself from speculation linking him and fellow boss Rob Scott with the vacant managerial position at Doncaster Rovers.
Following former Rovers boss Dean Saunders' move to Wolves, rumours have surfaced that linked the Mariners' managerial duo with a move to the League One club.

Many even suggested that Scott and Hurst were in fact favourites for the position, but Hurst said if that is the case, it is news to him.
He said: "I think Rob received a text to say that was the rumour going around.

"But whether it's genuine or not, we're very much focused on Grimsby Town and getting this club promotion.
"It's nice to be linked, as it is when players are linked with clubs, because it shows that we're doing something right.
"At the minute, we're top of the league that we're in so I guess we're doing all right, but as far as we're concerned it's pure speculation."

“Clive Mendonca was a loan signing.... Didn't work out too bad did it?”

“Update.............. we are not even top of the 5th tier of English football but hey let's not worry about where we are let's just claim everything is rosy and try and convince each other that we have a realistic chance of winning the league.
I reckon we will do well to finish above Kidderminster at this rate!”

“I supported S&H.on their appointment where many did not on the assumption that they were going to build a Gtfc team. Sadly they have turned out to be "loan sharks" without any likelihood of building a core based Grimsby team that local fans can associate with .”

“Doing well?
We are top of the 5th tier of English football purely by virtue of having played more games.
They must be laughing at the fans knowing that so many are readily accepting of such stunning mediocrity.”

“Shame those that were so quick to criticise S&H have not seen fit to admit they were wrong. They certainly are conspicuous by their absence since we've been doing so well. Same with the Fenty out minority.
Real fear would be if tubby Evans goes to Doncaster and the Rotherham job becomes available.”

“Anyone calling them the Chuckle Brothers now?
I don't think so
Even if we don't get promotion this season, they have been the main reason why we have a club to be proud of again.
They have changed the mindset at the club and brought pride back to Blundell Park.
Goes hand in hand - the more successfu they are then the more other clubs will come looking.
In S&H we trust”
