Grimsby Town left-back Aswad Thomas suffers England C defeat

GRIMSBY Town’s Aswad Thomas played 90 minutes in England C’s 1-0 defeat to Turkey last night.

The Mariners left-back and his team-mates were beaten by a late goal in the semi-final of the International Challenge Trophy.

The clash at Dartford’s Princes Park was Thomas’ second outing for Paul Fairclough’s side, made up of the best Under-23 players from outside the Football League.
