GRIMSBY Town's match away at Nuneaton tonight has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

A pitch inspection was held this morning, but recent snow and rain in the Warwickshire area has flooded the pitch.

“I've been in Midlands today and it is hard to see what the problem was. Isn't Atwell the muppet who doesn't know when a goal has been scored?

The league will never move Gateshead's fixtures to the away teams ground as it would effect the integrity of the overall fixture list if some had played them twice at home. The league should ave made them switch to a neutral venue by now though as the next best thing. It is ridiculous that they have got away with it for this long. Surely the Darlington Arena is sitting empty.”

“And I hope Luton play Scott Neilsen at Dartford tonight. Can a few Town players nip down to help them out?”

“Maybe those teams that cannot fulfil their fixtures should bemade to play their "home games" at the away club - e.g. make them come to Blundell Park? They would probably gain financially as well??”

“One more game for Hitman Hearn. That's only one more league fixture (Braintree) before March when Hearn should be back, is that right?”

“The game at Gateshead also called off. Given the number of games called off at their stadium it would be a major suprise if they manage to complete the season on time without moving games to a different arena. Given that not only Town but also Wrexham, Newport, Luton and Kidderminster still have to visit the "International Stadium" (if ever a name never lived up to reality!!) then the situation at this club could well have a major impact on the title. The league need to sort this out once and for all. It's fast becoming a farce. UTM”
