GATESHEAD'S upcoming Blue Square Bet Premier League clash with Kidderminster has been moved to Bootham Crescent.

The Tynesiders will take on the promotion-chasing Harriers at York City's ground next Tuesday because of the continuing problems with the pitch at the Gateshead International Stadium.

The Minstermen were the closest available club with an 'A grade' ground grading willing to stage a Heed 'home' game.

“Gateshead v Kidderminster at York. Sounds like a ground filler to me. Absolutely pathetic situation. A gate of less than a couple of hundred I would suggest. I mentioned in earlier post that the number of games postponed at Gateshead would have a major impact on the title chase. This is just the start. I know a number of games have been scheduled for Hartlepool's ground but this is a joke.”
