“shoreline shouldnt mess about with their tenants it should be one strike and they are out for good, untill the parents are forced to make their kids toe the line nothing will get any better. there are decent hardworking people living on the nunny but they all get tarred with the same brush because of the minority of idiots who go around causing trouble and throwing their weight around the estate backed up by their parents, if the parents were thrown out on their ear with no more help from anywhere they would make sure their offspring were angels. the prgramme last night hasnt shown us anything new”

VERY WELL SAID!”

“Personally, I thought the programme was disappointing. And why it was called 'Exposure', heaven knows, because it didn't 'expose' anything that millions of people up and down Britain haven't known (and lived with) for years!
Furthermore, Nunsthorpe isn't an isolated case: the cameras could have roamed around almost any street in Grimsby or Cleethorpes (or any town in Britain) taking spooky pictures in the dead of night, and got exactly the same results. In fact, I would say Nunny is better than most.
And quite frankly, I think it would be an injustice if - as a result of this programme - even more money was handed over to Nunsthorpe, when other areas are in much greater need. Hasn't it had quite enough??
The facts are, that the majority of Nunny residents are decent people, and that their lives are being ruined by a few irresponsible 'hooligans bringing up hooligans'. This can only be addressed by a tougher and more visible police presence and harsher penalties for offenders. No amount of money is going to persuade those sort of people to behave themselves because they have CHOSEN to opt out of society. They don't WANT our help and they thrive on the mayhem they cause.”

“How much did the TV crew pay the kids to be in the house whilst they were stood next to them filming? The derelict houses they kept showing are private ones and are near enough next to the others they filmed in Burns Grove (I don't think they are even there now). When the Police were called to troublesome drunken teenagers they were called to the Rose and Crown (which is obviously now moved to Nunsthorpe??)
Well done Mr Hill you have made the people of Nunsthorpe look something that they are clearly not. If you were run from your home on there how come you only move 50 yards away from the Nunny as you call it in to your nice semi detached house on Laceby Road. You don't work yet are living in a house that must cost £600 a month to rent and drive a Range Rover. No wonder you want the fun house back open.
The Presenters should have spoken to the people that live here not the ones that Mr Hill brought to them. The program was a joke get yourselves out there today GET with your reporters and ask the real people of the estate what they think of the image the program gave them.”

“Having considered the programme, I think the saddest thing is that it shows the Police to be unfit for purpose, the housing association to be thoughtless and social services to be wishy-washy. As residents we MUST have an avenue to complain safely and confidentially and know that our concerns will be acted upon. . We have the right to protection or can we take David Cameron up on his word and use reasonable force against burglars. Does that mean we can retaliate if some piece of scum damages our property. I suspect not. I suspect our boys in blue would break away from shooting Tazars at blind people and lying about football hooligans and closing ranks to protect themselves and arrest us!!!”

“Well dont Steve and Debbie Hill for making Grimsby and the Nunsthorpe Estate look a joke on National TV. Was it me or was the funhouse almost empty on the programme whilst the kids was walking on the roofs. Sorry but I think most of the problems on the estate is due to places like the funhouse not working together with other groups. Funny when they have a name like Nunsthorpe Together Limited.”

“Little loves in 2012
No one is allowed to smack them
There is no physical punishment allowed in school
They have no respect for their elders, the police, or any one else in authority
On the Nunsthorpe estate it looks like they can do what they like & no one will call the police
Ever heard the saying "you reap what you sow"”

“Nunny, best thing of living on Nunsthorpe- the space, unbelievable amount of space, big gardens, lines of fresh washing, easy parking, brilliant Children's & Early Excellence centre, resources, parks and play areas.
Let the kids be kids, let them find their goals, rid the area of the problem adults until such time they can find their own contribution to the benefit of all. A young and vibrant population for the rebirth of the 'Garden of Eden' because it IS still here.

“Loispeters - were we watching the same programme! What about the reprobate parent who thought it find to allow her kids to ignore the authorities and to treat authority's attempts at legal control with contempt. I concur that the problem is a failure of the police to adopt a zero tolerance approach to the estate and to crack down on the kids that appear to roam unchecked and the drug dealing adults that profiteer from the misery of the less fortunate. Police, police, police - protect the victims and punish the perpetrators - isn't that the function?”
