Grimsby's Christian Storm helps Peter Andre by producing Auditorium show
HE'S danced with Kylie Minogue and the Spice Girls, married a member of All Saints, and now Grimsby's Christian Storm has returned to town as show producer for Peter Andre.
Christian, who was born and raised in Grimsby, returned to the town on Wednesday evening as the creative talent behind Peter Andre's Up Close And Personal Show at the Grimsby Auditorium.
It is the first time a show he has produced has been staged in his home town – and his family were out in force to support him.
Speaking to the Grimsby Telegraph after the show, Christian said: "This is the first time I've been back in Grimsby for work purposes and it feels great to be here.
"It's like I've gone 360 degrees back to where I started and it's very nostalgic for me to be here.
"The crowd has been fantastic and it's brilliant having my family here to see what I do."
Christian, who attended South Parade and Hereford Schools, left the area when he was 16 to attend dance college in Epsom, Surrey.
He later became a dancer for chart-topping acts such as Destiny's Child, Black Eyed Peas, Ricky Martin, Cher, Kylie and Dannii Minogue, Take That, Diana Ross, Steps, Blue and All Saints, to name but a few.
Before marrying All Saints' singer Shaznay Lewis, Christian famously dated Geri Halliwell – being spotted with her in Cleethorpes.
Christian, formerly known as Christian Horsfall, added: "I loved dancing but there comes a time in every dancer's career when you have to move on.
"I stopped performing about eight years ago, which is when I moved into choreography and show production.
"My role now depends on the artist I'm working with. I could be devising dance routines or coming up with the whole concept for shows."
He has most recently been working with Leona Lewis, Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye, Taio Cruz, Beverley Knight, Jamiroquai, Ne-Yo and many more.
He added: "I wouldn't say I have a favourite star who I've worked with, they all offer something different; whether it's the treatment you receive or being fulfilled creatively."
Christian was hand-picked by Peter, pictured, to work with him in devising the sets, choreography and theme for the latest tour.
He added: "Pete is a great star to work with because he's very creative and full of ideas.
"He was so appreciative and he really is like he seems on stage. There's nothing fake about him.
"We had a very collaborative approach to the show. He wanted it to be entertaining, powerful and theatrical.
"We tried to incorporate elements of illusion and plenty to wow the audience at the same time as letting them get up close and personal with Pete."
