Grimsby shop became 'scene from horror movie' as man with slashed face staggered in
A BUSINESSMAN has told how his shop became “a scene from a horror movie” after a man walked in dripping with blood.
The owner of The Price Is Right, in Hainton Avenue, Grimsby, was confronted by the man, who sat down with his hand over his face, which was dripping with blood.
This injured man was trying to say “ambulance” but his speech was muffled by his hand and the blood in his mouth.
The businessman, who did not wish to be named, called 999 just before 4pm on Friday, and said the man’s facial wound was about 4in long.

“The cut went halfway up his face,” he said. “There was so much blood that it looked like a scene from a horror movie. It was really disturbing.”
While waiting for the ambulance, the wounded man asked to use the toilet and after he left, the owner described it as looking like “a scene from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre” – the gruesome horror movie.
Despite the horrific injuries, the victim of the alleged assault refused to make a complaint to Humberside Police when interviewed.
A police spokesman said: “We received a call from East Midlands Ambulance Service at 3.56pm.
“Further enquiries revealed no evidence to substantiate the claim and the injured man confirmed that he did not wish to make any complaint. Police inquiries concluded on that basis.”

“Do him for leaving blood all over the show. The shopkeeper has to clean all that up. Why go in the shop, passers by must have seen him and have been willing to make a 999 call. Don't tell me some charge cannot be brought.”
