Grimsby show spirit and team-work – despite defeat
GRIMSBY men's first team slipped to a 4-1 home defeat against local rivals Brigg firsts.
A high-octane game saw the home side dominate in the first half, go 1-0 up and produce some sublime hockey.
Grimsby's line-up featured a mix of experience and youth – and all performed well.
In particular, Dicky Johnson was in fine form and caused havoc among the opposition.

Brigg's players appeared flustered at times and started arguing among themselves.
However, they hit back from a short corner and a penalty flick to move 2-1 ahead.
This did not deter Grimsby from attacking and, in the second half, they played well as a team.
However, they shipped two more goals to lose 4-1.
