Hannah to miss Town's cup clash

ON-loan Grimsby Town striker Ross Hannah will be forced to sit out Saturday's FA Cup clash against Kidderminster Harriers.

The 26-year-old, pictured, has been in fine form since joining the Mariners on a three-month loan deal, scoring three times in six appearances.

But parent club Bradford City have refused to allow the forward to feature in the Fourth Qualifying Round clash at Blundell Park.

Fellow loanees Nathan Pond and Scott Neilson will be available for the encounter, however, and joint boss Paul Hurst is pleased to have the pair

He confirmed: "Ross Hannah has not been allowed to play but the other two loan lads are clear to be involved.

"Bradford don't want Ross cup-tied. They are concerned that if they get a couple of injuries they might need him back.

"Whereas Crawley and Fleetwood have said it's fine, so that's a bit of a bonus.

"Being without all three of them was always a real possibility. When we first took them on they were all pretty much 'no' for the FA Cup but we've since spoken to the clubs and things have changed.

"It's good news because we want to keep our bit of our momentum going – we haven't decided 100 per cent on the side for Saturday yet.

"We also had the Reserves in action yesterday, and Aswad Thomas and Andi Thanoj were supposed to play in their international game last night, so we need to see how they come back before we make any decisions."
