Harold Street trio swim onto glory
RECENT mention of the Harold Street School swimming team prompted Ruby Short, of Salsbury Avenue, Grimsby, to send us this photograph.
Ruby said: "After seeing a photograph of the school swimming team.
"I thought this older photograph of a team that won the Telegraph Shield in 1942/3 might interest Bygones readers.
"Note the swimming costumes. There was a war on after all."
