Barnett, 38, of Hainton Avenue, Grimsby, admitted stealing a mobile phone from Tesco on November 19 and asked for a similar offence on November 14 to be considered.

He wanted to get back off drink and taking drugs.

Sentence was deferred until May 20 to give Barnett the chance to complete the community order and stay out of trouble.
