Historical drama kicks off film club's season
FILM buffs – don't miss out on the Louth Film Club's new season, which kicks off with a sparkling French historical drama.
On Monday, at the Playhouse Cinema, The Princess Of Montpensier will be screened.

swashbuckling drama: The Princess Of Montpensier is being screened at the Playhouse Cinema, in Louth.
Veteran director Bertrand Tavernier's latest film is lavish and swashbuckling, but also meticulous in its detail. It's set in the 16th Century, during France's Wars of Religion.
Melanie Thiérry plays the young princess forced into marriage.
But she is still drawn towards her first love and winning the attentions of the king's brother the Duke of Anjou.
The Princess Of Montpensier, is in French with subtitles and it is a Certificate 15.
The show starts at 7.30pm. Non-members are welcome at Louth Film Club's screenings, paying the normal Playhouse ticket prices are £5.90 or £4.70 for concessions. Members pay just £3.50.
The club's new programme of 29 films, which runs up to January 2013, is available free from Off The Beaten Tracks record shop at 36 Aswell Street – where you can also join the club.
