HOLLY Clyburn successfully retained her Faldo Series UK Girls Championship title - despite a bogey on the last hole meaning she finished second in the event's overall standings.

The 19-year-old finished on level par at Trentham and won the Under-21 title after a tense play-off.

Lauren Taylor finished a shot clear of her in the overall standings after an impressive three-under-par final round 70. She won the Under-16 title, though, and not the older age group.

Going into the second and final round leading on one under-par, Clyburn birdied the 11th but dropped shots on the 12th, 13th and 15th.

A par on the 18th would have completed a perfect weekend for the Woodhall Spa golfer, but she double bogeyed and Taylor finished one shot clear on one under par.
