Hosepipe ban to be lifted tomorrow
THE hosepipe ban affecting North East Lincolnshire will be lifted tomorrow.
A spokesman for Anglian Water said the exceptionally heavy rainfall since April had largely refilled reservoirs hit by the two-year-long drought and that many groundwater aquifers had also begun to recover from a record low.

Anglian Water is lifting its hosepipe ban tomorrow.
However, he warned that aquifer levels – which account for almost half of the water supplied by the firm – were still relatively low and urged customers to continue to use water wisely.
Paul Valleley, Anglian Water's Director of Water Services, said: "I am delighted that we are able to make this announcement. It was never our intention to keep these restrictions in place a moment longer than necessary."

“Is it just me or do you end up using more water washing a car with a bucket than you do with a hosepipe?”
