WARMER weather is putting a spring back in to the step of the local housing market.

That's the view of estate agents in North East Lincolnshire, who are reporting an increase in enquiries from potential buyers as spring approaches.

The harsh winter weather kept people away from the market, but agents believe it could now be entering a "buoyant" period.

The news comes as the latest batch of properties on the Freshney Green development have been put onto the market.

Six homes on the second phase of the Freshney Green development have been put on the market, and are due to be completed by the summer.

As reported, Stamford Homes is building a total of 440 homes on the site of the demolished Yarborough Estate to create what they hope will be "Grimsby's showpiece estate".

Read more about Freshney Green, residents' views on the new homes, and find out what local estate agents are saying about the market in today's Grimsby Telegraph.

“Come on, let's be honest, if you were effectively given a whole load of land effectively free of charge, how difficult can it be to turn a profit?
I really do not understand why the Telegraph keeps running this same story every couple of months. Stamford Homes is a massive company, who appear to be getting free advertising.
Just because one company is doing well, out of a deal which it would be impossible to lose on, does not a rise in the market make.”
