FROM healing hands and crystal therapy to palmistry... hundreds of visitors packed out Grimsby Auditorium at the annual Mind, Body And Spirit show.

Experts in complementary and alternative therapies from throughout the UK attended the two-day event at the Cromwell Road venue, all of whom were on hand to talk about the therapies they offer.

Barn owl Merlin takes a look around the event with owner Steve Shore from the Acorn Project, Boston, and organiser Angie Simmons.

Beauty therapist Rebecca Lee (45), from Cleethorpes, was visiting the show with her friend, Jacqui Corbould (37), who lives in London.

She said: "There is such a wide range of exhibitions and they cater for all of people's emotional and physical needs."

Jacqui added: "We both came here feeling low and tired, but now we are feeling energised. It is all down to the atmosphere, which is calm, relaxing and colourful."

Trudi Walden (32), of Cromwell Road, Grimsby, underwent an acupuncture treatment and declared it a great success.

And Debbie Thorpe, of Brinkhill, near Louth, who runs Aurora Crystals, demonstrated the benefits of crystal healing.

She said: "Crystals are a way of releasing negative energy in a gentle way and help the body and the energy field which surrounds it to return to a state of balance and harmony."

Organiser Angie Simmons said: "We have been running these events for six years and they are increasingly popular. We have people from all walks of life. It is a chance to discover how to look after your health.

"People feel it revitalises them and reduces stress. We have ear-candling, crystal healing and massage. There are lots of things you cannot buy in shops.

"There are Tarot readings and palm readings by experts. There are many problems for which people are seeking relief, whether it is problems at work or problems with relationships."

Live your rainbow says Robert Eldred, from the Lincolnshire Association Of Healers, as he seeks the aura of a client.
