TODAY hundreds of people flocked to St James’ Church Grimsby to hear the teachings of The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams.

In the first visit to the area of anyone holding the office for more than 1,000 years, Dr Williams met with local well wishers and led a communion service, before touring Grimsby Fish Market and St Aiden's Church, Cleethorpes.

As reported, Dr Williams travelled to the area to mark the centenary of the death of former Bishop of Lincoln Bishop Edward King.
