HUNDREDS of people attended the funeral of 17-year-old Calvin Saunders this morning.

As reported, Calvin died in the early hours of Sunday, February 28, when the car he was travelling in hit a tree.

Three others were in the car, which was travelling along Yarborough Road, Grimsby, when the incident happened near to the junction with Curry Road.

The funeral was held at St Michael's Church, Grimsby, followed by interment at Scartho Cemetery.

    “My daughter attended today and she said it was a fitting tribute he was a very special friend to her and she is finding it hard to come to terms with never seeing him again but is grateful for the time she knew him and he will be in her thoughts and heart for the rest of her life God Bless you Calvin and thank you for bringing joy into my daughters heart xx R.I.P. you beautiful boy xxx”
